Mountain View, California-based Google Inc. has introduced a new experimental HTML5-based tool calledGoogle Body Browser
, which in essence allows individuals to explore the different layers of the human body such as muscles, skeleton, nervous system, digestive system, et cetera in three dimensions. As many of you might remember, the tool was first showed off at the Google Chrome Event earlier this month. Google Body Browser requires a browser that fully supports HTML5. Furthermore, WebGL is necessary. Considering that WebGL is relatively new standard, not all of the browser currently available support it. However, the beta versions of Chrome, Firefox, and even Safari support WebGL. You must download any of those in order to view Google Body Browser. Otherwise, it won't load in your existing browser.
Once you have the adequate browser of your choice, you can visit bodybrowser.googlelabs.com to begin exploring the human body. Google Body Browser allows individuals to rotate, zoom in or out, search for specific body parts, remove layers, and more. It's definitely a fun and interactive educational tool.
Let us know what you think of Google Body Browser, if you give it a try.
